01. Who we are

The Site is the personal portfolio and client workspace of Jeremiah David, a full-stack developer based in Abuja, Nigeria. For privacy questions, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below.

02. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Site and respond to you:

• Account details — if you create an account: your name, email address, and authentication credentials (passwords are stored only as secure hashes; passkeys and two-factor secrets are stored securely).
• Sign-in via Google or LinkedIn — if you use social login, we receive your basic profile (name, email) from that provider.
• Contact & service requests — the name, email, message, and project/service details you submit through the contact form.
• Newsletter — your email address if you subscribe to updates.
• Uploaded media — any images or files you upload (e.g. to a request), stored via our media provider.
• Usage & device data — basic, largely anonymous analytics (pages viewed, performance metrics, approximate region, browser/device type).
• Cookies & local storage — session/auth cookies, your theme and cookie-consent preferences. See “Cookies & tracking”.

03. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• Respond to your enquiries and deliver the services you request, including quotes and project communication.
• Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, request updates) and — only if you opt in — newsletters.
• Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Site and its performance.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We only send marketing email to people who have subscribed, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

04. Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar local-storage entries. Strictly-necessary cookies (e.g. authentication/session and your consent choice) are always active because the Site cannot function without them. Functional, analytics, and marketing categories run only with your consent.

05. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third-party processors to run the Site. They only process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms:

• Hosting & delivery — Vercel / Netlify (serving the Site and performance/Speed Insights).
• Database — Neon (PostgreSQL) for accounts, requests, and subscribers.
• Caching — Upstash (Redis) for sessions and cache.
• Authentication — better-auth, with optional Google and LinkedIn sign-in.
• Email — Resend (transactional and newsletter delivery).
• Background jobs — Inngest (e.g. queued email sending).
• Media — Cloudinary (image/file storage and delivery).
• Future — affiliate/ad networks and analytics partners if and when we introduce ads or a blog; this policy will be updated before they go live.

06. How long we keep your data

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: account data for as long as your account is active, request/communication records for our legitimate business and legal needs, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Cached data expires automatically. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07. How we protect your data

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, encryption of sensitive payloads, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

08. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data or update your account.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time via the link in any email.
• Withdraw cookie consent via “Cookie preferences”.

To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

09. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves (for example, when we add a blog or affiliate features). We will revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a clearer notice.
